Finding Comfort in Small Business Life

Hey lovely ♡

June feels slower lately.

The world still feels uncertain in so many ways, but little by little I’m learning how to settle into a new rhythm again. Life looks different right now, but I’m trying to focus on the small things that still bring comfort, routine, and purpose into my days.

And honestly?

One of those things has been Avon.

I’ve always loved beauty products, skincare, little self-care treats, and the excitement of flipping through a new brochure with a cup of tea beside me. There’s something strangely cozy about it all. Lipsticks, perfumes, body lotions, soft makeup looks — tiny luxuries that make everyday life feel a little brighter.

Even during difficult seasons, beauty still matters to me.

Not because I think we need to look perfect, but because self-care can feel grounding. Sometimes doing your skincare routine or putting on your favourite lip gloss is less about appearance and more about reminding yourself that you’re still worthy of care.

Business has been surprisingly steady lately too.

And I’m grateful for that.

I think during uncertain times people naturally lean toward comfort, familiarity, and little affordable treats that help life feel normal again. A new body spray. A face mask. A cozy scented lotion. Tiny things that lift your mood without costing a fortune.

Honestly, I understand it completely.

Lately my days have looked like:

  • organizing Avon orders with coffee beside me
  • chatting to customers online
  • planning little beauty posts
  • packaging orders from home
  • testing products in cozy evening routines
  • and trying to stay creative while the world feels strange outside

It’s not glamorous.

But there’s something comforting about building something slowly and honestly.

I think this season is teaching me that success doesn’t always have to look loud. Sometimes success is simply adapting. Continuing. Staying hopeful. Finding ways to keep going even when life changes unexpectedly.

And maybe that’s why small businesses feel so special right now.

There’s heart behind them.

Real people.
Real stories.
Real creativity.

So this month I’m embracing cozy little routines, soft beauty moments, and the comfort of creating something meaningful one day at a time.

Because even during uncertain seasons, small joys still matter.

With love,
Hayley ♡
